    I have a P226 9mm with a new third party threaded barrel attached to a REV45 Griffin can (with a 9mm piston).

The barrel was fitted by the barrel maker.

Gun will chamber and fire the first round fine. the next round chambers but does not fire leaving the primer intact. Without the can, the gun cycles and fires fine.

Any suggestions on how or who can troubleshoot this? the barrel vendor suggested a different weight spring. I an using the stock "orange" 9mm spring.

    Thanks

I have a few Sigs including P226’s. I have an aftermarket Sig barrel that works as expected. They are 9mm pistols and they have had a Sig trigger enhancement done at the factory, but that should not be the issue.

You might try a different recoil spring with a little less preload, to deal with the additional weight and increased back pressure. I only mention that because my Walther PPQ came with an additional lower preload spring for suppressed operation.
