Smashburger in Cedar Park Prohibits Open Carry

Actually since they have a TABC license, there is a potential direct impact on their business status. Allowing OC without one of the listed exemptions (which includes the CHL exemption) can result in TABC revoking their license to sell alcohol.

Interesting...the Cedar Park city limits map shows all of Lakeline Mall as being in Austin, the northern 'border' running actually on the north side of Lakeline Blvd.

Having a CHL and a concealed handgun of a class covered by your CHL exempts you from the provision against carrying handguns and "illegal knives".

So if you have a CHL and a concealed peashooter, you can legally OC your hog leg and bowie knife.

Yeah, I read all that in the thread a couple of years ago. You'll pardon me if I don't test it and pay some lawyer a ton of money to "prove I'm right". Funny how I've never seen a CHL holder going all OC in the five years since I got my CHL. Unless the badges were fake, the only folks I've seen OC a sidearm in public were LEOs.

You'd think with all the outcry for Open Carry, plenty of CHL holders would be openly carrying....provided all the LEOs and judges see it the same way you do.
