Is there anywhere in the DFW area that sells hickory aside from the 1 cu ft bags at Albertsons? Would like to get a half cord maybe a full cord depending on price.

Try "Barbeques Galore". That's where I used to get the apple and cherry wood I used. I think it was either 25 or 50 pound chunk bags. I also believe they had hickory and mesquite in the same sizes.

Our SAMs and HEB carry it, though I don't know how much a cord is. I'd try SAMs or Costco.

Home Depot and Lowes use to carry 20+ lb bags if you're in a bind.

4ft x 4ft x 8ft = 128 cubic ft is a cord.
