According to ABC news in Chicago, this is not completely accurate.
A felony Aggravated Assault conviction in Mississippi in 1995 came up when he applied for a CCW permit and he was denied. That finding then resulted in the revocation of his FOID, but no follow up regarding his “legally” purchased but illegally possessed weapon.

When something like this happens here, the criminal has pity and Libtards on their side. Then when the blame game starts it lands squarely on the back of every law abiding gun owner.
