Came across this video. I found it thought provoking. Close to the 8min mark, he somewhat explains a solution.

Hmmm. Imagine for a second a modern society without monetary credits. Resource based. What would that be like?

I believe every word of that video and have been advocating resistance. Unfortunately, it may be too late. People of my generation who question and resist by nature are dying out every day.

I saw a photo essay last week that shows the Clinton and Trump clans to be best friends! Their daughters are best friends, too. Trump was quoted to say "We're going to pretend that we hate each other!"

There is no coordination of the masses to mount a revolution. Until things get to the point where people can't take it any longer it will never happen, even then it will be a tough fight. Dream on!

Don't fall for the RBE trap. Accumulation of capital is the reason we have important inventions and it is what will ultimately allow us to become a type I civilization. RBE will kill human progress IMO. We don't even have the tech anyway to make Peter Joseph's vision a reality.

^^^ That old knight is a perfect symbol for a fiat economy... money is good (backed by gold/silver)... currency is bad (not back by anything of value). We have an aging fiat economy (currency based, backed by nothing) and it's dying.

Haven't watched the video yet... Is this more Venus Project bullshit? Don't buy into the resource based economy tripe. The "problem" with money (or more specifically currency) is due to centralization, and a resource based economy requires even more centralization.

The only fundamental thing of value that we have is our time. It is up to us to use this time to create value or not. If you planted an orchard and cared for the trees until they bore fruit, the value of that fruit was created by the time you spent tending the orchard. The trees and land don't have any value without your input.

Money is important because it gives a method of storing the value we create, and it allows us to easily exchange that value with others. Money itself is not evil; it is win-win. The problems with money arise when people seek to control other's use of it, typically through government coercion.

YES, this is precisely correct. TRUE value is based upon one's time, knowledge and efforts. This has ALWAYS been the case. It's also true regarding WISE investments. Buying fruitful LAND is seldom a bad investment. TIME IS MONEY... LAND IS MONEY!!

What makes big flawless diamonds valuable? It's the labor costs in seeking and retrieving those goods. If five carrot diamonds could be found laying in the street for our picking, those would be worth less than glass shards. It's their rarity and the labor required to find those rarities which makes them so valuable.

The flip-side is: If/when the economy turns to complete crap and most people just need the basics to survive... food/water/shelter/protection... diamonds, gold, silver, etc. become worthless. It's the in-between times that gold/silver/diamonds have the most value.
