SBR = Short Barreled Rifle
BCG= Bolt Carrier Group
AAC= Advanced Armament Corporation
Most of what we are discussing are short barreled rifles.
So are all the 300's SBR's? Do people use the 300 on a fully size AR?
There isn't significant gain between the 9" - 16" barrel. That's why a lot of people opt for the shorter one. It's why I did at least. Always been enamored of sbr's
Technically speaking, longer barrels do not make the gun more accurate unless you're using iron sights 'cause you have a longer sight radius. Longer barrels give you more velocity and therefore will give you a flatter trajectory if all else is equal. Just sayin'........
I agree. But my 16" is accurate.
Can't wait to build my shorty upper and see how it handles, because 16" plus suppressor is a lot of forward weight.
The stamp is for the can not the firearm it's attached to correct? If so, bring the can and you can try before you buy.
Winchster, usually they are two stamp rifles. One for the can, the second for the SBR'd rifle. So you got $400 in taxes along with the parts.
Thought so, just clarifying. Point was if he's got a can that'll thread on my AAC he can see what he thinks at Hicksville.
Shows how much I know about cans. Didn't realize that was an issue.
Yes*. Same lower, Bolt and magazines. That's part of the attraction.So, if I bought a 300 Blk, I could use it on my regular AR lower?
