It's a bad habit in both instances. I would work on stopping it.

I sometimes find myself with my arm resting on my spare mag, but its under my shirt and carefully concealed under a body that pizza built.

I would not rest my hand on my pistol OC. That could be seen as brandishing in the wrong circumstances. Imagine a PoPo or other LTCer standing in a store and some due walks in with his hand on his pistol. Could lead to a bad accident.

There's no such thing as brandishing in Texas. There is, however, Disorderly Conduct, which would be a Class B misdemeanor for carrying a weapon "in a manner calculated to alarm." It's likely interpretable that handling/gripping your holstered firearm could be calculated to alarm.

Correct it falls under that (looked it up, thanks Mreed!). Depending on the circumstances it could also be viewed as an immediate and lethal threat. Someone could perceive it wrong, but I don't think the OP really wants to get involved in that horror show.

Alternatively "attempted assault" due to the threat of harmful or offensive touching, in this case with small lead rocks. ;)

I hope this is not some kind of threat.

Not a threat. God used words to speak the universe in to existence so be careful with them. They are our most powerful tool and also our most dangerous weapon.

You should heed your own words.

    And this thread is moronic.
