Springfield Armory 4-14x40 Scope - Any good?

Bought a used AR15 and it came with a Springfield Armory 4-14x40 scope. The scope is in good shape - no dings or scratches. The owner said it was a very good scope and he had been using it for a long time with no issues.

Anyone have any experience with this type of scope? Is it a keeper?

Hit or miss. Nice glass if...they hold a zero. Bad ones tended to break right away. I've got the larger one on a 300 WinMag and it has held up great.
