Great guns.Had an extractor problem with mine.It was sent back to SA and fixed.So far I have shot 1000 rounds thru it without a hiccup.
Solid, reliable, workhorses. Great platform for customization or upgrades to your preferences.
Hubby had one. Dad has one.
I have an ultra compact that works well, and is a great carry piece, I have shot about a thousand rounds through it. When it was new it didnot always feed, but since it has gotten broken in I have noy had any problems with it.
I have the 5 in and enjoy it so much that I bought the 4 and put crimson trace grips on it for the wife,both are great guns and have been very reliable
I'd rather have a mil-spec, pretty much the same look and feel but includes some crucial usability improvements.
I have the Mil-Spec and love it. I would like other SA 1911's.
Actually, there is an older Loaded model for $550 listed on a board (TFL), the guy is in Dallas. Easily worth the cost and I'd take it if I were

I have one in stainless and I like it a lot. After it wore in a little bit I never had any feeding issues. Mine eats Gold Dots all day long.
