Luckily we had flood insurance.
First time wasn't so bad.
Second time it was tougher due to scammers.
ETA: The worst part was having a dog and staying in a hotel for a couple months.
I sold the house after the second time.
The Woodlands still OK? My brother lives there.
~43" in Hamshire.
I drove to Conroe for a training class about 7:30 this morning and it was turrible (Charles Barkley-speak). By the time I was on my way back to Houston around 11am, it was equally turrible. When I got back home, I'd noticed that streets in my neighborhood were flooded--streets that have never flooded in the twenty-nine years that we've lived in this house. In some ways, this was worse than Harvey.Conroe is super bad. Fortunately, I got a call before heading off to work and managed to stay home.
I have a friend in Cinco Ranch. He got 6" of rain in 40 minutes. I usually play golf at Cinco Ranch on Tuesday and Friday. No golf tomorrow. Not bad in Katy but downtown and east of Houston is getting hammered! Stay safe y’all

We are really lucky.
I bet we didn't even get an inch of rain.
