Midway (Hewitt) HS playing Cedar Hill.

Midway had a mentally handicapped boy (Titus, #85) who suited up with the team, but have never been on the field. The coaches were concerned (rightfully so) that he would be injured. Last home game. Last chance for the boy to ever set foot on the football field as a player. Closing seconds of the game.

Coach puts him in, planning to have him at slot receiver with another player next to him to make sure he does not get hit. Just to let him play one play. Coach lets the refs know what is going on.

Cedar Hill coach gets wind of what the Midway coach is planning. He comes to midfield and tells the Midway coach to give Titus the ball.

What you see is the result.

This should start up at 2:28:00 in the video.

What fine men are the coaches. Real class. And how well it speaks for the players of both teams.

    Wonderful to see.
