Stippling Glock 19

I wanted to stipple a small portion of the frame on my Glock 19. My goal was to keep it functional, and not go overboard. So, I did a very small amount of stippling in an area where I personally needed it. I used some cheap-o soldering iron I picked up for ~$15 from Lowes.

First, I taped off the area I wanted to stipple; I wanted to make sure it was relatively symmetrical.

Second, I stippled it and then took the tape off. Done.

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty satisfied with it. It's not super aggressive, but my thumb rests on it nicely and doesn't slip.

Also, in the first photo, I reset the lower portion of the tape before I stippled the frame.

Yeah, I don't plan on participating in IDPA until I get settled. By that point, I'll have bought a new Glock to run anyways.

Good job! I just had those index marks stippled on my M&P Pro 9mm. Although I stipple as a semi-business...I don't touch frames. Maybe, one day I will imitate you on my G23. Thanks!

So without starting a new thread, here's what I did.

Slight frame reduction and stippling all around. It doesn't look pretty but the grip surface is 100% better.
