    Advice for a Freshman?:
Safety first! Use both hands when performing keg-stands.

also, whats some stuff I need to know about Lubbock?
    About Lubbock?

...you'll have something in common with Marines stationed on Okinawa.

Lubbock is... Well that's hard to say exactly lol. For me it's home. Some great bars, awesome gun shops, lots of places to go shoot. Horrible spring weather. Great traffic. Have fun.

I've only been through Lubbock briefly, but I suspect that around February that crack about Okinawa will ring pretty true. There's a rumor they've changed the town motto from "We have really big snakes!" to "Hey, it's not as bad as Borger!"

Just joking. Seriously, you should be too busy cracking the books to worry about the landscape anyway. Good luck with school!

do explain, im more of a European theater kinda guy.
Marines in Okinawa, typically turn into one of three things:
    A) A drunk!
    B) A PT freak (Physical Training - a dude who runs all the time and spends any remaining time in the gym)
    or
    C) A Holy Roller! (Said with the "O" in "Holy" drawn out)

Spoken like someone who has never been to Lubbock...
There isn't a whole lot to do once the studying is done and you're sitting around the dorm/apartment.

This is correct. I just asked my dad again (He also went to some college in Lubbock), and he said there's nothing to do there and it's boring as hell. Probably the reason we moved to Sugar Land/Houston

Enjoy your time there, stumpy. You're gonna need alot of these.

Haha... Lubbock does have some gorgeous West Texas women running around, so devote your attention to that. Also that one pizza place next to the univesity(One Guys... or something like that) is pretty good(or it was when I was there last 8 years ago).
