I don't get the ongoing issues/concerns about carrying during the summer. Even before OC, I hauled around a Springfield XD(M) 5.25" Competition Series .45 without a problem using either a Tucker & Byrd OWB leather holster or an Uncle Mike's neoprene IWB one. "Printing" was never an issue.

Since OC has been allowed (since 1 Jan 2016), I mainly carry the XD(M) in the T&B OWB.

I am not an overly large individual (6'2", 198 lbs), and wear cargo shorts (or occasional tactical kilt) and t-shirts the vast majority of my leisure time.

    (or occasional tactical kilt)

Pardon the ignorance.... but what the hell is a tactical kilt?

I wear https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/world-wide-sportsman-boca-grande-cargo-shorts-for-men those shorts. They have some elastic in the waist band. That give enough flex for a IWB holster.

How does one wear a shoulder rig in the summer without a cover garment? I start sweating at 50°, I wear a button up poly fishing shirt year round. I wear a coat...never. If I'm cold I'll wear a tee shirt under the fishing shirt.

I delivered mail in Portland for 20 years on a walking route. At 30° I was still in shorts and shirt, if the wind was blowing I'd wear a tee shirt.

    Simple, under the shirt.

I'm 6'4" 210. I wear 34" pants/shorts. Do ya'll buy your pants bigger to accommodate the IWB carry? I can't wear a belt with my shirt untucked because most belts pull my hair on my stomach and it freakin hurts! the only ones that don't pull are the cloth belts with the double loop.

I guess I'll have to take a trip to a gun store next time I'm in the big city.

Yes I size up to a 38(one size bigger), my suggestion a good quality leather/nylon belt. My summertime carry is a .45 XDS in a CBST.

    That place east of Waco....
Ruger LC9 in a Blade-Tec IWB holster 4 o'clock. Looking to trade up to a Glock 26 in the near future. I usually wear a A-shirt/tank top under my shirts to prevent irritation.

    Helotes!
    Very cool video.

Never thought I could be sold on a kilt... but that's pretty bad azz.

Tactical kilts are comfortable, versatile, spacious, distinctively unique and as you said, bad ass!

It does takes a brass pair to wear them in Texas, but I don't give a shit what others think.
I love 'em (I have four) and wear them all the time!

That is what I am in most of the summer as well. I either go with my Ruger LCR 38+P or M&P Shield 9mm. I run both either in CrossBreed SuperTuck or an OWB holster. Picking up a Sig P365 this week and it may replace my Shield.

I carry M&P Full Size 9mm year-round with TLR-1s in a Greg's Custom Holster IWB at 3 o'clock. As long as I have a t-shirt over it I don't care if it prints. But it doesn't seem as if anyone ever notices it.

I carry a Sig P230 which Sig doesn’t make anymore. It’s in a IWB holster in cargo shorts, but the little Glock would do just as well.
I’ve seen my Sig at various gun shows, and it’s possible you could find a bargain on one.
    Here’s the P230 of mine
