I dunno - looking at the round markers, it would appear that the officer was moving/being moved as he fired. The "witness" claims the officer was stationary.

Very little information about what lead to the events. Actually, there's none.

Terrible situation. If the officer is in the wrong he should face murder charges IMO.

The officer said as he approached the car to speak to the driver, (who someone had called in about her being suspicious), she refused to talk to him and rolled the window up on his arm. He fired when she drove away with him attached. The jury didn't believe it, obviously.......

Looks like he WAS one of those that shouldn't have been there in the first place. What amazes me is that the jury only gave him 3 years. He wouldn't have wanted me as a juror.

the article said the victims husband died right around the time the dirty cop was sentenced but he still had an open lawsuit for wrongful death pending.
that's just a sad story all the way around

Do you? Just asking cause it seems like you do. He also admitted to shooting her, while he was NOT attached to the vehicle, 5 more times. The last shot struck her in the heart and killed her. According to the article, the defense was, "the next five times because she continued to drive with her vision obscured by a sun-shade". This man belongs in jail for the rest of his life.
