Depending on the research being done, it may or may not be worrisome (as in it may or may not be something that can be weaponized). Qatar is one of those rare Arab states that actually does have some high tech industry and high end medicine. Nuclear research could be valid for either of those pursuits. But as it is a middle-eastern oligarchy, there's still at least some reason for concern.

Take the money & run, or feed them bad info. Qatar doesn't need nuclear power plants or weapons. Texans shouldn't be supplying such info to foriegn nations.

"Qatar on Saturday held Israel responsible for the ongoing military escalation between Palestinian Hamas resistance movement and Israel.

In a statement, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said Israel is “solely responsible for the ongoing escalation due to its continuous violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, including the recent repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli police.”

It stressed “the urgent need for the international community to compel Israel to cease its blatant violations of international law, abide by international legitimacy resolutions, respect the historical rights of the Palestinian people.”

I've spent alot of assignment time in Doha, Qatar. Our alphabet agencies are very aware that the Qatari government has been providing financial support to Hamas for a long time. It's no surprise that they denounce Israel.

Also, I don't advocate nuking College Station. That's taking the whole rivalry a bit far - it would put Brenham and Blue Bell Ice Cream at risk.
