Sooo.....sounds like a snowflake is worried he may not be able to keep his immediate inviornment cool enough that he don't melt. And since he doesn't know any more about power generation than what the greenies told him he is blaming Abbott instead of the real culprits.
    Am I close?

Should be blaming the EPA and the NRC instead. They have more control over building of power plants than any govenor that I know of. And if he thinks things are bad now, wait until Trump is back in office and succeds in bringing manufacturing back to the U.S..

    Oh, the whorer.

Abbott should be working with energy providers and the legislature to come up with a plan to solve this problem long term. If no new power can be developed then the legislature should pass laws that restrict the construction of new buildings that will require additional energy to power, heat and cool.

Every day I see huge new commercial buildings and massive apartment complex that are under construction and those all will increase energy demand. There should be no permits issued for these things until the energy problem is solved.
Curious. I see you are new to the forum. Are you new to Texas as well?

A huge part of our problem is transplants moving here from communist states, and a portion of those transplants are trying to push the same failed policies they were fleeing from. Our grid was just fine before the influx of new residents

It was 90 friggen degrees yesterday and the grid almost maxed out ?

What is going to happen with it is 107 like it was last summer?

I’m guessing that in your case, like many others who came and did not have measurable fortitude or willingness to adapt, you’ll move back to Cali / NYC / wokeville / wherever, maybe?
