Well, I haven't shot 5 rifle rounds total in probably 7 years.
You forgot it’s also a gay ass 2wd.I don't think some friendly humor about a person's choice in weaponry is going to cause division - except maybe by those who lack the sense of humor or ability to detect sarcasm / humor. Some folks might get all panty-knotted about a barb about their chosen caliber or gun - but they are few & far between.
Its the "I'm a gun owner BUT" types, or the ones who unironically support the NRA still despite the NRA having a hand in every anti-gun piece of legislation that's been passed into law since the NFA. They are why we can't have new transferable machine guns, they are why there was a bump stock ban. They don't fight - they just give away your rights a little bit at a time and call it a victory.
Its the "I'm a veteran, no one needs a weapon of war" types who are a problem.
Its the "I only shoot bolt actions and pump guns, no one needs semi autos" types who are a problem.
Its the "Only bible thumping conservatives should have guns" types who are a problem
Its the "We need universal background checks" types who are a problem
Every time I hear "I'm a gun owner BUT" I automatically assume that person either is NOT an actual gun owner, or they're 80 years old and don't understand the 2nd amendment was enshrining our ability to kill tyrants and invaders, not hunt deer or punch paper.
Its also to a lesser extent the "The AR15 is just a modern sporting rifle" types who are part of the problem. The AR 15 was designed to shoot *humans* first and foremost. Designed as a weapon of war, for reals, since it was pitched by Armalite to the US military as a replacement for the M14 it most certainly IS a weapon of war, and most certainly IS intended to kill people. And thats absolutely fine because that is what the 2A is about first and foremost.
Not being honest about the actual intent of the 2A is part of why we're in the state we're in - the gun rights orgs push the sporting aspects, the home defense aspects, and the hunting aspects of gun ownership - and they down play the notion that the 2A was actually intended to be there should we need to overthrow the government or defend against invaders. No one in the 1700s was trying to ban guns to stop hunting - if you didn't hunt for your meat, by in large, you and your family starved. It was never about hunting animals - it was about hunting tyrants.
If someone wants to give me a good natured ribbing over my choice in gun - great. I think it helps unify us more than divide us - the joking builds comraderie and a sense of community more than it drives us apart, with some few exceptions. In the end it doesn't really matter if you're a Glock fan like @Moonpie, a closet Raven collector like @Axxe55, or you own six Hello Kitty print AR9's like @Sam7sf and still have the "I <3 Oregon" sticker on your truck like he does. What you own, what you like to shoot, what calibers you like - we're all in it together and I think almost all of us know that.
If feelings get hurt once in a while - its no doubt not intended, unless someone is being a dick and actually needs to be bullied or something but those incidents are so few and far between as to not be relevant.
Get get the OP's sentiments about needing unity - especially with Pelosi now pushing her stupid AWB hard. Lets pray that the Senate republicans can collectively find their balls and hold the line against it, and that Joe Manchin isn't bought off, or swayed into voting with his fellow democrats this time.
Dammit I have a 2WD tooYou forgot it’s also a gay ass 2wd.
Well you’re not the one that said “I don’t need 4wd” when buying the truck then buying property that needs road work for a mile.Dammit I have a 2WD too
What happened and can you cite an example.Sometimes I really don’t get some of you.
Gun owners are getting hammered now more than ever, RINO republicans talking with gun grabbing liberals, and every whack job unicorn rider spouting a ton of BS about banning guns….
And y’all still want to work on dividing gun owners. Pretty pathetic actually…
Last I k ew, this was some vestige of a free country, yet y’all keep up the gun shaming and gun hate.
Whining about 30 Super Carry, 6.5 CM, Glocks, Plastic guns, black guns, et al may be intended in jest and fun, but now isn’t really the time.
You are happy with your revolver or 1911, great! Still shooting that 30.06? Good choice. But some of y’all are freaking obsessed with shaming folks who try new stuff.
Wonder what some of y’all would have said back when smokeless powders were brought online? Maybe the 30.06 was lambasted in the early part of the last century? Did that make sense? Nope!
Y’all need to rethink your words when you slam another gun owners choice. You can educate and debate without being a horse’s ass…or at least you should.
Gun owners need to unite against gun grabbers, not fellow gun owners, gun companies or calibers.
Y’all sound like old whiny clowns sometimes!
I suspect I’ll be flamed…especially by those too proud or arrogant to admit what I’m saying is true…
Its the "Only bible thumping conservatives should have guns" types who are a problem
I shoot very little rifle myself (other than .22). You don't go around saying nobody needs an AR15 though do you?
That's almost as bad as not having a Grip Zone !You forgot it’s also a gay ass 2wd.
^^^ I almost pissed in my pants ! This is the best post of the day ^^^
I mean, you don't seriously believe i think all 6.5cm owners are teenage girls...
6.5cm is the gender neutral bathroom of calibersHave we confirmed this isn't true?
