This is my favorite 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
I think it's an underrated gun in the crowded field of 9mm semi-autos on the market today. You have so many fine guns to choose from that it's become somewhat of an underdog. However, I like this gun the most.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT:
1) Better decocker lever location than Sig P226
2) Lower price than HK
3) DA/SA - I am a little intimidated when the G19 is chambered. You have basically a SA gun with no safety. I know, keep finger off trigger, but you just have to be on high alert to keep that trigger clear
4) No safety - I just prefer not to have a safety of any kind on a defense gun. I'm no Special Forces operator, and can just see myself pointing a gun in a high-stress situation and not being able to pull the trigger when I need to
5) Blackened stainless slide for rust resistance
6) Doesn't try to make a fashion statement like the Beretta PX4 - looks serious and all-business
7) Single action trigger is pretty sweet
8) Grip angle and size is very comfortable for me, especially with the straight backstrap
9) After all said and done, I like the exposed hammer
10) It's an FN
WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT:
1) Lack of aftermarket support - barrels, etc.
2) Lack of a .22 conversion kit
