Okay....Shannon won the DoubleStar AR lower today, and so now she needs YOUR input on how/what to build.

Remember....money is NO object - since the lower was free, she's got TONS of $$$ available for all the rest of the toys.

Feel free to provide pics, links an' outrageously expensive ideas....... stirpot2.jpg

Get a stripped DoubleStar upper just so it'll "match". Put a 18in Noveske barrel on it. A lightweight-ish free float handguard (I kinda like the Midwest SS-Series). Timney trigger. Round it out with a A2 style stock with a custom length of pull to fit just right. ...and since price is no object, top it with a Nightforce 1-4x24.

I think that'd make a damn fine rifle and wouldn't even be the most you could spend... Plus since it'll say DoubleStar all over it, it'll be what we call a "sleeper"

    Easy.

12.5" noveske or white oak with matched bolt
    High quality bolt carrier
Clark custom carbon fiber tube with three magpul rail sections milled and jb welded at 9-3-6-12 at the front of the tube.
    Harris bipod w/larue mount
Sling stud on side at 9 o'clock
    Dueck defense rts offset sights
Leupold 1-8x or swarovski 1-6x optic on larue mount.
Magpul UBR and miad or ctr and bad lever
Jp enterprises ambi selector and trigger or geisselle combat trigger
    Norgon ambicatch
Thunder beast 223p1 or gem tech trek ti or aac m4-2000 and 51 tooth brake.

The gemtech trek would be the lightest option. The m42k the quietest and the tbac the most accurate.

I would probably go with the lightest and never take it off.

Thats how I would do it today.

Accurate. Great hd combat gun, 3gun match rifle, night hog gun.

I remembered the pvs 14 and the rail right after I posted. I would go with a knights armament rail and a quality suppressor never hurt anyone either.
