Speaking from my own trials as a young man, I have done some things, that at the time I thought were harmless....with a little help/encouragement from "friends", but found that my conscience and good upbringing "ate my lunch". This, most of the time, allowed me to make the situation right. Kids are just that...kids. At least, for what ever reason, the kid chose to do the right thing. In my minds eye that makes him a "good kid", he could have not said anything at all and got rid of the evidence. As my Pops always told me, "life is all about the choices you make on a daily basis, if at the end of the day before you lay your head on the pillow you can look in the mirror and be OK with the man looking back at you, then you have done it the best you could for that day...pray for forgiveness where you fall short and try to do better the next day,...if the god man up stairs gives you the chance." Just my take on it though.
