Does anyone shoot with the Thunder Tactical group? I want to start competing and IDPA sounds like fun but I am in Huntsville and am wondering if its worth the drive? Thanks.
I've been shooting with them for about 3 years now. Huntsville is a bit of a drive but we do have a few who make that trip every now and then. There are practice matches every Wed and Thur evening, hammer down at 6:30. These are usually 5 stages, 12-16 rounds each. The complexity of which varies depending upon the desires of the match director from the very simple to the devious. Second Saturday of every month is the monthly match. The weather this year has been kicking our b*tts, check the radar before you decide to drive.
