I just found out about an up coming Texas class I thought I'd pass along.

Tom Givens will be conducting a two day Combative Pistol course at the Texarkana Gun Club on Nov 14-15, 9am-6pm both days. Tuition is $385, including range fees. Call 901-370-5600 to register. Tom is an excellent instructor and he can bring your skill level up considerably.

How does this compares to Hoffner's? PM me if you have an opinion as I do not want to start a urine spraying match.

D, I would advise as many different instructors/classes as you can manage.... everybody has their own style and you can pull from each, what works for some does not work for others. Look at it as just another tool in your tool box!

Their styles of teaching are surely different. Hoffner's classes have a cheerleading/moral boosting aspect and Givens' classes are more straight forward.

EDIT: wanted to add, if I go to any training, I plan on taking the whole family. Unlike work related training, I have to be a little pickier.
