Read Day of Wrath by William Forstchen, same author as One Second After and One Year After. This one will curl your hair

    Is this new?

I remember reading Alas Babylon and On the Beach back in High School and having to write 'book reports' in the early 70s.
I started school in 1960 we still did the 'DUCK AND COVER' drills during the 'Cold War'.

    What's old is NEW again????

We still did those back in California when I was in elementary school, but the schools stopped the practice when I was in 3rd or 4th grade.

When I was a kid, we did the "duck and cover" drills. We were about 30 miles from the east/west Germany border on an Army post. Life as a Serice brat was interesting in the 50's
