    You should have these made as signs and place them by all of the "No Trespassing" and "No Hunting" signs. That should be enough to discourage anyone from EVER doing it again.

    Is there a law against planting fake but clearly visible mines on the property and posting a danger sign?

    I don't know, but surely it's not going to make things easier for you if the police or fire dept. enter your property.

    When the day comes that I finally own a few acres I'm just going to keep bees with lots of signs that say something like, "Danger! Killer bee research facility! Keep out!" If I see someone trespassing it would be great fun to shoot the bee boxes with a few beanbag rounds.

    CHAPTER 46. WEAPONS

    Sec. 46.01. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:


    (13) "Hoax bomb" means a device that:

    (A) reasonably appears to be an explosive or incendiary device; or
    (B) by its design causes alarm or reaction of any type by an official of a public safety agency or a volunteer agency organized to deal with emergencies.
