I picked up a nice dual illuminated RMR yesterday but it didnt come with a mount. So I am looking at mounts, and I intend on having this offset from a scope, 3 gun style. I am looking for some insight on what mounts to get. Specifically I am looking for info on the height of the mount. I want to keep the same cheek weld from optic to rmr and it seems most offset mounts are the same.
I dont have the optic I am going to run yet, I know that makes it a little tricky to give advice on. I am going to take my acog off my 6.8 and move it to my 5.56, and so begins the search for a new scope for my 6.8. I will be looking at the 1-4 variables or even a nice fixed power scope.
