You wanna branch out? I have a 590A1 with black synthetic stock I think would look awesome with a wood look.I got my 2nd practice stock done, I think I'm ready to paint the KRG Bravo now.

Is it one of JoshB's threads or BC'z? Both are awesome. Josh with his woodwork and BC'z with his automotive paint work on BR type stocks.
Awesome work (on your part) regardless. Can't wait to see the KRG.No, a guy that goes by Hunting 2019 is who I got the idea from.
I sold my synthetic stock when I wanted wood on my M1A. Now I wish I had kept it and refinished like this. Nice work!Wood on guns these days is an emotional choice. The people who want wood, want wood.
Very nice work OP, hard to believe that is your first

Thanks! The Bravo chassis is kind of a pain to do since it is 2 pcs, and has a bunch of different contours and shapes. With the recessed areas on the buttstock, I couldn't get the nice burled look like I did on the other rifle stock, so I just did something different.

I kind of want to do this to an AR. I'd mess it up though. I have the artistic skill of a kindergartener.
That's the great thing about using these Alcohol Inks, if you screw up you can just wipe it off with Rubbing Alcohol, and start over. It's actually pretty easy once you get a good technique down, and figure out what the inks do when you start adding on layers.
Man, I love how that turned out. The wood look looks great on that stock. That turned out beautiful! Well done brother, well done!
