Man, me too. Executive agreements are supposedly only as strong as the Senate's approval. If the Senate is silent then its assumed to be allowed. If the Senate votes against it then it expressly prohibited. I'm not a lawyer but this looks like some shady legal ground where the Senate voted on a budget proposal but not the actual treaty.
You can bet the mofos will push the envelope as far as possible.
I'm trying to stay positive, but this crosses the line. I'm a peace loving guy who wants to work this out without anyone getting hurt, but more and more these guys are backing folks into a corner. Its like they're trying to poke the hornet's nest and hope some crazy assess attack the government so they can have an excuse to crack down. I hope everyone keeps their heads and this gets slapped down through the proper legal process.
