If you have read Unintended Consequences and wanted a copy of your own but were put off by the astronomical prices for earlier editions, a 7th printing in softcover is back on the market.

If you haven't read this great book by John Ross, you owe it to yourself to delve into it. Don't be put off by the lurid cover. Inside you will find a fascinating history of gun culture, gun control, and the struggle for liberty.

Oh yeah, if you've never read that, go read it. I try to read my signed 1st ed. at least once a year.

I've heard about this but is it worth even the $30?

If you get it, read it, and don't like it, I will give you $20 for your copy. I plan on getting a few copies just to have some on hand to lend out. The book is so good that loaned copies seldom find their way back home.

How is $19.99/month cheaper? Do you pay for a month and then cancel?

Reading the cliff notes that are free in an effort to convince myself to pay $20. Consider it a sample off a tray at HEB. First taste determines if you eat more.

I'm not knocking the book. I'm the type that wants the details up front.

Anybody on TGT have a John Ross edition .500 S&W?

That's a classic example of something I should have bought back when they were still made.

I downloaded Unintended Consequences a few years back for free, but I'm not sure what site it was and I have a different computer now. All I can say is look around.

The story was quite good, but I kind of had a moral conflict with the outcome, but then again, other than the history part, it is fiction.

I have it downloaded as well and read a bit here and there when I get a chance. I haven't even gotten to the action yet and I would already recommend it. You'll probably learn a few things. I know I did.
