They must really be hurting for people?…

Hurting for very specific skill sets in very specific capacities.
…Can’t they legally force back officers for life?
Broadly, yes. A little less broadly, retired officers are bucketed in <5 years retired, 5+ years retired, and anyone over 60 for priority to recall.

Each service also has specific policies.

    oa,

    A most excellent point!

Now, now, the 'refusniks' are wanted back...fkkkkkkkkk you af....

To be fair, ALL the services from the af to the marines to the army and navy/coast guard mandated this non-vaccine insistence (with the feds folding their arms in insistence) and where were the various secre-fking-taries of the various services, saying NO, NO, ours folks get a pass...?

You can't remain in the service and refuse 'the death jab', they said, while those various military of the secretary cowards remained quiet...

Come back military Shane....up yours, you miserable group of cowards....

Friend of mine was a retired Army colonel and got recalled to active duty years after retirement. He was in his 60s but they needed his skills over in one of our sandbox kerfuffles.

He truly wanted to serve but it seemed that none of his recommendations headed up the chain were given the slightest attention. He decided he was just there as window dressing and got pissed.

So he let it be known that since retiring from the Army he had become fairly popular as on-screen talent in the adult entertainment industry.

He said he was on a plane home in less than 2 days and fully re-retired in less than 2 weeks.

Everyone sees a new war on the horizon and none of the Millennials/Gen Xers are ready to go die for another dumb war. The Gen Zers/and Next can't even figure out which bathroom to use and don't meet the fitness standards. Tough luck
