I wonder how many heads on this board are going to EXPLODE in 2012 when he gets four more years because the Republican party is divided and weak.

Ig the Libetarians woudl do the SMART thing and join WITH the Republicans instead of splitting the vote then there would be NO chance of that happening...

I personally don't know if he will make it that far without being empeached...

You think it's the Libertarians? I say it's the Tea Baggers. Libertarians can lean left OR right. Why would they content themselves to voting for big-government Washington fat cats?

GOP and Dems are both big-government Washington fat cats.

Truer words were never spoken. None of them are worth shooting.

All we can hope for at this point is s swing in the House and Senate numbers back to the Republican side in 2010 so that we have the old deadlock / stalemate style of government back in place. At least they aren't doing anything to harm us when they aren't doing anything.

Anybody that actually thinks this is ever going to improve is looking at the world through the rose colored glasses of a 12 year old girl.

I have to agree with Clockwork on this one. The Republicans have nothing to offer except, "Those guys suck." To pull off a real win, you have to have a positive agenda.

As for the vacation statements. Obama is still behind in vacation time used compared to what W used in the same time in office.

I personally feel that our government should have a three-way split (Dems-Pubs-Indies). All parties equal and actually have to work together in order to get anything completed. :)

I wasn't around here at that time. :)

But I showed up as soon as I could as the folks here seem to be alright people, even if our political beliefs may be a different, but then it would suck if we were of all the same belief, as then we'd be calling ourselves China. :)

Just to keep things even, I was able to do some research..........

Except for a few little "asterisks" there.

When Bush finally was declared winner in Florida, sometime in December 2000, he was late getting his Cabinet together. By the time the nominations were put before the Senate, democrats were chomping at the bit. They hated John Ashcroft, an open Pro-2nd Amendment and religious guy. I can still see Ted Kennedy SCREAMING at the top of his voice slamming Ashcroft, his veins popping out and about to have a stroke.

John Bolton was another Pro-Gun guy they hated. They were bound and determined that he was NOT going to be Ambassador, even though he had all the credentials. To see and hear him today on FOCS News, he is an intelligent guy with much world knowledge. But, to democrats, not no but HELL NO!!!!!!

Point is, democrats will fight to the death to prevent an appointee if they don't like them. They didn't have the numbers on Ashcroft, ditto with Alito and Roberts.

But when democrats nominate obvious pukes like Sotomayer and Keagel, Repugs will piss and moan a little bit, then "let's move on".
