    my question is.... WHAT THE HELL FOR?
    maybe im jsut being shortsighted but what use could one of those really be? cold weather concealed carry under a trench coat? lol
    come on!
    now dont get me wrong, im not saying i dont want one!
    maybe going head to head with a pack of angry hogs?

    It's basically a .308 caliber sub-machine gun. You can basically have the firepower of a larger belt-fed machine gun without the weight and concealment hit. Velocity and accuracy are down, but it's meant to engage targets within 100 yards, and it's effective at that range.

    The scenario I envision is VIP detail, and having to engage gunmen in a car. The 9mm MP5 doesn't do so hot against windshields and body armor. The .308 will go in and out of a car like it's made of butter, and body armor is no match unless you happen to catch a trauma plate. Putting 20 rounds of .308 rapidly into a car will generally hamper their plans.
