I have a VEPR Pioneer and have been looking around for a side rail that will be center with the bore and won't cost a fortune (<$75). I saw one that can be adjusted for Height and Centerline called TufForce so I bought it to check. It fits perfectly! Not only does it aligns 100% with the bore but also the height allows the use of the iron sights and a scope! I am sharing with everyone just in case someone is in the same boat trying to get something cheap that works. They are only $35 via Sportsmanguide. I tried in on my Super VEPR but the S-VEPR has an additional metal plate that drives the optics rail further to the left vs. the Pioneer. The optics will be slightly off to the left of the bore (it maxes out the adjustment), but not that bad. You could dremel the top rail to allow a bit more adjustment and get a perfect alignment with the bore, but I personally am not willing to do that.
