Teamed a Vortex 3x magnifier with flip mount with a Primary Arms red dot. Works well. Good clarity.
With lousy vision, I can barely make out a small target at 100 yards or more. Yet I really like the red dots for <50 yards. I did not want a scope, as I prefer the 1x red dot for close in. The 3x Vortex makes 100 yard shooting much easier.
Flip it up for longer range, flip to the side for close in. I mounted the magnifier such that it flips to the right, rather than to the left, for an unobstructed two eyed view with the red dot.
Adjustable (vertical and horizontal) in order to center the red dot in the magnifier (if necessary, was not in my case).
Mount is of sturdy build. Functions easily. Lifetime warranty. $200.
Good investment for those who want the added functionality.
