Strange. I'm very underwhelmed with mine. Yes it's a budget optic but I expected a little better.

There may be something hokey with mine. It's like it has a fish eye lens on it. Everything distorts at the edges terribly bad.

I'm very familiar with Vortex's warranty. I've used it quite often in the past.

I'm doing some work about a mile from Vortex's headquarters. They have a couple of displays with customer returns that are pretty cool. Binocs that are just a melted blob to optics that have been ran over. Some with customer explanations that are hilarious.
