As another recent CA transplant, THANK GOD FOR TEXAS. My first weekend here I went to the Frisco gunshow and bought my magazine release and 3x30 Magpuls.

I am also still a member of CalGuns and the CalGuns Foundation. The flow chart was sent to LE for training purposes so we didn't end up in jail for assault weapons charges. They are working litigation to get a lot of the stupid laws either changed or repealed.

As a former resident of LA County, it was basically impossible to get a CHL (or CCW Lic as we call it) unless you paid fealty to His Highness Sheriff Lee Baca. If you are a lawyer, judge, or celebrity, you can, but the regular Joe Blow cannot. I currently carry under my UT lic but will be getting my TX CHL soon.
