I talked to a buddy who is an economist for "the party" in china and her father is a party honcho (I think he is a diplomat not real clear and usually don't try to pry with her.) Basically after a few hours of conversing over the past week, she established pretty clearly that China is NOT interested in a conflict with the US. It's much more profitable to keep trading with us than it is to have a war. China is much more interested in economic dominance than military dominance. They aren't like us, or most of the west, they play for the long run. Economically, domestically, and militarily. This is a country that establishes 50 year plans for medium term growth and 10 year plans for short-medium growth.
The thing they are MOST annoyed about? It's not North Korea, apparently they really don't like being called currency manipulators. This is their biggest beef with Trump and other U.S. economists.
Another shocker, She is anti 2nd amendment to quote her "I think only police and military should have guns."
