    Between Tomball & Waller
    Any one interested in WW2 vintage bombers the Collings foundation
    is bringing 3 warbirds to HOOKS airport in Tomball on march 28,29,30,31.
    The planes are a B17,B24 Liberator and a B25 Mitchell.

    You will be able to tour the aircraft and also they will have 30 miniute
    flights .
    times on the 28th for ground tours is 2 to 5 pm.
    29th 9am to 5pm
    30th 9am to 5pm
    31st 9am till noon.
    Adults $10 donation to tour inside plane
    Kids under 12 is $5
    Last year I toured a B17 at Hooks Called the Liberty Bell ,once inside they
    are not as big as in the movies.

    I would love to see the B17.My grandfather was shot down over Berlin in one of these.Luckily he got out but was a POW until the end of the war.If anyone goes please take pictures and post.

    Far, far, far North Dallas
    Rides are pricey but it's money well spent to at least tour the birds. From watching old movies when I was a kid I was shocked to see how small and cramped they were inside. Especially the B-24. Skin so thin you could stick an ink pen through it. Our Fathers and Grand-Father were some very special men who fought and died in those machines.

    I will try to make it and will get lots of Pic's and post them. I think my oldest daughter would love to see these planes as she is all Tom-boy and loves things of war.
