I've managed to crack the glass on my old (1953) Omega Seamaster. Any idea how much a new one should cost me, installed?

I did a quick search and it seems it needs an estimate to get it replaced. Must be expensive.

I believe Omega won't just replace the glass, they insist on doing a full service - and it ain't worth that.
I'm going to swing it by Segner's in Fredericksburg on Monday and see how much he wants to do it :(

You could always mail it to me for safekeeping then...

I think any kind of actual watch store can replace that crystal for you. Not the jewelry stand at Walmart, but everywhere else, yeah.
