    If you were convicted (including deferred adjuducation) then you are ineligible for 5 years as pointed out. If the charges were dropped or you were acquitted, then you are fine.

    We don't know what "had a misdemanor [sic] class b [sic] means".

    I thought the 5 year thing only applied to class a misdemeanors...

    Class A, B and Class C Disorderly Conduct;

    Texas Government Code

    Sec. 411.172. ELIGIBILITY. (a) A person is eligible for a license to carry a concealed handgun if the person:

    (8) has not, in the five years preceding the date of application, been convicted of a Class A or Class B misdemeanor or equivalent offense or of an offense under Section 42.01, Penal Code, or equivalent offense;

    GOVERNMENT CODE  CHAPTER 411. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OF THE STATE OF TEXAS

    Get yourself a florida license. All you got to do is mail your training document to them and they will send you one in the mail. Make sure you study up on other states you might be going to. In New Mexico, your Fla. license is not accepted as you are a Texan but you can open carry without a license.
    I got deferred adjuducation in 2006 for Throwing a Beer can in Some POS's car while he was on a deputy's property. " He shouldnt have throw the crap out in front of my place". I never even bothered with the Texas CHL because of the BS requirements.
    The deferred adjuducation rejection is a bunch of BS.

    I would not get an out of state license until the current Texas legislative session ends. There has been a bill filed that, if passed, would not allow a Texas resident to carry on an out of state license.
