The feds would never let Texas go. For one thing, we'd take a more than proportional chunk of the economy with us. And we would give other like-minded states ideas of independence.

I believe that was the INTENT. Since it now seems the feds (and state and locals) shrug off the old Constitution on a regular basis (daily). then the argument leading up to that part seems moot.

I have 2 flag holders on the front of my house. I had a TRUMP flag and a US flag but a few days after the election, my US flag had the steel pole segments SNAP and the flag fell on the ground. (the TRUMP flag is still hanging)

I removed the broken pole segment and replaced it with a TEXAS flag. (I took it as an 'omen')

BTW, I still contend that the Federal government will never allow Texas to secede, and would oppose it even with force of arms. But that doesn't mean they're in the right.
