Isn't a TRO pretty standard practice in divorce? If so is this one a copy and paste of a standard TRO? I'm sure she was no peach, but divorce with children is often a game of smearing the other party for legal gain.

But Texas is a mommy state. They would have to have good reason to put the order on her and not her husband. Am I wrong?

It's been all over the news for a while now. The kid lived in Texas with dad while dad paid for Wendy to go to Harvard and get a law degree. Once she got her degree and passed the bar, she came home and wanted a divorce. She also gave up custody and had to pay dad child support as part of the divorce settlement.

Texas is a mommy state, unless of course mommy just doesn't give a shit.

She is exactly what the left loves. Someone who used a man to get what she wanted, a woman who freed herself of shackles of motherhood and encourages other women to be "free", "by any means necessary". Oh and she is willing to flow the marching orders and be used by her socialist masters. So to the mentally ill liberals, she is perfect!

Honestly, the restraining order seems like standard fare and unless I missed it, didn't mention exactly what horrible things she was accused of. I won't hold it against her anymore than I would anyone else who got a piece of paper which must later be disputed.

There are soooo many better reasons to dislike her!

Here's a PDF of the restraining order.

I read it and persons like this should not be holding any public office.

People like who? What you read is standard language in every divorce petition. Wendy is bad for Texas, but not because she got divorced.

I am amused at the author if the article though, he wrote that a federal judge ordered the TRO. No, federal judges do not hear divorce cases. A Texas District Court Judge does.

I bet if you actually look at the entire docket, he had a TRO issued against him as well.

There are several large bill boards in DOSA with a picture of a "Jeff Davis" attorney at law with the slogan "I've got your back."

Could this be the jilted lover?

Nothing on God's Green Earth could be worse than the divorce between two trial lawyers.

Jeff filed a restraining order, knowing it would be public record. He laid a land mine for his ex's future ambitions. She was too dumb to have that order rescinded.

Once a bimbo, always a bimbo, no matter how well educated (where are her high school, college, and law school transcripts?).

Getting divorced is generally not best but I understand sometimes its unavoidable. Her bailing on her family shows especially poor character and was her decision not just her circumstances.

Hope she loses her senate seat and ends up back in the trailer park and then finds redemption, makes amends and goes on to live a good life.
