Biometric locks are known to not work securely.
A build up of fingerprints from the owner can render them insecure, and allow other people to unlock them.

I will apply the same thought on "smart" guns as I apply to other items.

Any product that has "Smart" in its name or description, is most certainly anything but smart.
And many devices that appear to be smart just seem so in comparison to the person using it.

As for "Smart"guns, I would never consider one as something I could depend on for defense.

In effort to respect house rules, I will limit my response to "They are ***************".

Yep. If smart TVs are any indication, I will have nothing to do with it.

The smart gun project that I was involved in, funded by the National Institute of Justice and developed by Fabrique Nationale (FN) for law enforcement, was not accepted in principle and got shelved twenty years ago.

If it is not good enough for LE, it’s not good enough for me.

For me, anything "smart" welcomes surveillance, data mining and govt intrusion, even though this gun company claims not. Sorry, I don't trust them.

Smartphones, smart cars, smart thermostats, etc. Not only "no", but f*ck no.
