Got to Alpine south of Ft. Worth about noon yesterday. Already 90 degrees. Looks like another long, hot summer in North Texas.
A nice father / grown daughter pair on next lane. They were having a lot of fun shooting together. Did my heart good seeing that. He was shooting a FN 5.7. Went thru $80 of ammo in a half hour. 3 cents a shell from my Mark III - AMEN!
Shot about 400 rounds from my Mark III? About 1500 rounds since last good cleaning. Tomorrow I break out my brass punch and plastic faced hammer and go at it.
When I get a bit of extra money, I'll put in a custom trigger assembly. The stock Ruger are OK but the pull seems to vary during a two hour shoot. Probably powder build up from those nasty .22's. Ether that or I have dementia in my muscle memory. LOL.
