Picked up this 1979 Series 70 MKIV .45 today.
Poor thing looked like it has spent the last 40 years in a dusty drawer.
    Some high spot wear.
Internals hardly worn at all. Even the collet barrel bushing is tight. The extractor was full of gunk.
Cleaned and lubed it up. Will go shoot it later.

Have you hugged your 1911 today?

I've got it's twin. But mine has some rug rash on the right side and dings on both sights. It's the 1911 I shoot the least.

It has the nicest trigger job I have ever felt on a double action. Ill be bringing it to the meet in april
    I picked up a couple of the former CHP 4006 pistols, then a 915 (to pair up with a Marlin Camp 9) . . . then a 5903 here on TGT . . . and now purchased a former LE 5906 . . .

    Will this ever stop?!?!?

Dumped my POS Kahr Jamomatic (P9) for a Canik TP9SF Elite. Huge for me because I’m left handed and the elite version has ambi slide stop levers (think HK VP9 style). Even swap, with no money changing hands. He probably came out on top value wise but I couldn’t be happier. The trigger on this thing is sweet!

Been waiting for Copper to get some back in... where did you snag that.. I'd love to toss one into the collection!!!
From Copper. ;) I’ve had them for over a year now, but they were part of the story about how I grew to respect S&W semi-autos. Until I had my first 4006, and then got a Marlin Camp 9, I would never have considered buying any Smith that wasn’t a wheel gun.

That 915 is a classy looking gun!

Thanks. It spent some time in Israeli service in some form, from what I understand, but I have no proof of that (it has import info on it). It’s got “character”. I put a new factory grip on it and installed night sights. FWIW, that was the most difficult sight swap I’ve ever done.

As I’m a lefty, once I had the 915, it was inevitable that I would look for a 5903/5906.

OK, this was a couple of weeks ago, but wanted to cover the bases.

The 938 is actually for the wife, she really likes that gun, and finding a used one with SIG laser under 5-hunit was a no-brainer purchase. Also got the P365 under 5 from same pawn shop (it's new, born on 23-DEC-2018)... but I'm not loving it so much... that green XRay sight is hard for my eyes to focus onto and so far I've only been able to group when shooting off a bag.. :/

Oh.. and the 365 has striker drag for days too. IMG_1515.jpg
