Saw this at my LGS and looked it over for a few minutes and brought it.

From 1990 (serial NM) I would say in about 95% condition. One previous owner.

From the looks of it, it appears to be barely shot. View attachment 162321

This is my first Browning rifle and even my first 270. i have not decided if I am going to scope it or not.
Bet that gun is pretty rare. Didnt know they made a lever in .270 Might be tempted to turn it into the queen of the gun safe and go buy a Savage to actually shoot. lol.

Mighty cool. Congrats. How easy it is to make em be able to shoot while trying to put a fresh magazine in it? Noticed they said the Ruger I was going to buy had that pesky feature. Looks like that could get a person killed in certain tense situations..but the reviews seemed to say it was easy to make it act right.
    Thanks.
    Haven't researched it.
    Probably not too difficult.
Not sure I'll piddle with it.

Ok..it would be good feature to have in some scenarios. Seem to recall one of the first state police agencies that switched from wheel guns to 9mm semi autos liked the feature cause they required the guns be turned in at the end of shift and checked back out. Made them total inopreative till somebody stuck a magazine in it the next day. Should also be good for folks with meddlesome kids in the house lol.

You do realize that we need a range report ASAP?

Tuesday night at the range at the earliest. No sights, my Vortex is backordered, so I have an interim optic choice to make.

    In the meantime, unboxing.

Factory 5-round test fire is 3/4”. Lots of hope here.

So, they don't actually show the target, huh?
I'm only seeing 4 points of impact.

No, not the actual target. I think the dime slid.

Here’s the .22LR report (the other was the 17HMR barrel set).

There’s a little inletting to be done in the stock, but otherwise it’s floated well.

If you're happy then that's all that matters. Seems like a great price, I think that the ammo is hard to find.

Ammo is no problem, but you’re not going to find it at your walmart or academy. The ammo is readily available online . . . which is where you should be buying all your ammo anyway.
