What gun did you buy today?

Well, I guess I'll have to eat my words. I sold the S&W Centennial Pre Model 40. It was more of a collector and I didn't want to shoot it. I got tired of looking at it, then putting it back in the safe. No more collectors for me. I took the funds (plus some) and bought a 1995 S&W 686-4 2.5"and 1994 S&W 66-4 2.5". The 686 has the smoothest single action pull. No regrets!

Recently picked up one of the nicest Israeli K98s I've seen, and a Chinese Tokarev.
These newer imported Tokarevs are imported with a Glock style trigger safety, as opposed to the older frame mounted (drilled) safety.
Bought a surplus trigger online and swapped out.
Probably one of the best C&R pistol deals right now, hard part is finding the ammo.

And, she shoots. I haven't arranged useable sighting yet, but she shotgunned well enough for a strong smile.

Ragged holes then spread so I could examine individual holes and confirm bullet stability.

Promising result!

I was using my "spell incorrect fone"! I was referring to the russian 22cal ak round(5.45x39).

I’ve watched a bunch of reviews on that gun and every one of them says it’s a tack driver. I was hesitant to get a bolt action in either .223 or 7.62X39, because I’ve already got semi autos in those calibers, but I’ve come around for sure, and my next bolt action rifle will be in 7.62X39.

Yep I bought mine when I found ammo for $180/1k rounds way back. Picked up 5 or 6k then. Seems like pennies now!
