Picked up my 3rd TRP Operator this month. I've been a 1911 kick lately. A full rail is what I was searching for and was lucky enough to grab two. Ill be letting one go, just cant decide which trigger I like better.

So I bought one of these for the collection. I shot it today running 100 rds through it of various ammo, including Winchester .30 gr. V-Max, Armscor 40 gr. JHP, and CCI Maxi Mag 40 JHP.
The revolver shot high for me. I was shooting at 7 (keyholing) yards. First thing I discovered the trigger must be released completely back to the normal resting condition after every shot. Short stroking the trigger any at all, will cause the cylinder to bind and I had to release the cylinder re-index and continue. The long and heavy (23lbs) trigger pull was exactly that, although with two fingers not terribly hard to pull. Recoil is less than a .38 spl. the action is.......well......not what I would call very smooth. Felt a little gritty, but may improve with use. Loading and unloading unremarkable (no negatives).....sights adequate....grip actually fit hand fairly well.
My personal thoughts on it for a defensive firearm.........it would not be my choice for EDC. It's fun, reasonably accurate at short ranges, but if you short stroke the trigger any at all after firing it, it will bind and lock up. Range toy, an addition to the collection, conversation piece sure buy one.......You can buy a better revolver for the same or less money in a better caliber for self defense....
