I am tired of being told not to buy too much when I am following their posted limits. It seems like the younger staff enjoying their sense of "power" or to be a good socialist enforcing rationing. I was at another Academy when the staff something about the customer buying five cases of 12 gauge.
Id tell them the same thing I told some young dumb retard at the Texas roadhouse in Sherman when they said I needed a mask, “I dont give a shit”

FedEx delivered 200 rounds of 5.56 Winchester 55 grain and 400 rounds of Federal 223 55 grain. I have a feeling I wont be able to find 5.56 from here on out, 223 will do though. Nothing to be found locally, will have to cut back on shooting the AR's and stick with the AK's which I have boatloads of ammo for.

Picked up one of these at Academy Sports today. I had been looking for ammo but they had none I wanted. When walking around the aisles, to see if there was anything else I could use, I found this:

I have been thinking of how to hook up a holster to the side of my bed for awhile now. I have minimal furniture since when I moved into my apartment I expected to have a house within 6 months - then came COVID-19 so I have been here longer than expected.\ and never got night tables. So, up until today, I have placed my pistol, in holster, on the floor next to the bed. That is about to change.

Today, I saw this, and it was the answer and I bought one right away. Seems to be not of exceptionally excellent quality but at least decent to good quality. It will hold one of my Glock 30s in 45 ACP, as pictured, or my Glock 26 or smaller semi-auto or a medium semi and up to a medium framed revolver (it's not about to hold a full framed revolver like a Ruger Redhawk - at least not hold it well as I see it). It also has two elastic pockets on both the top and bottom sides of the pistol, one in which they show a flashlight but I am sure either could hold magazine or a flashlight, one in one and one in the other.

I like it and will mount it on my bed. I must have missed it several times before in the store unless they just got them in! Hopefully, I'll never be spooked by an errant noise - grab the pistol - and shoot a loved one, my dog or myself during the excitement of being suddenly awakened and thinking it was because of an intruder but being wrong and it was a family member. Then again, it will not be like keeping a pistol dangerously under the pillow and one could always keep a pistol in it with a clear chamber (maybe not a bad idea for a pistol you'd be grabbing upon awaking because of an alarming noise in your home).

$18.00 and change out the door. It can probably last 20 years - or more - if you only draw the pistol from it now and again to clean the gun and holster. Now if only they made one of these for my 870!

My level 3+ plate finally showed up from an order 3 months ago, and my Elite Survival Battle Belt came in too. Nice to get some American made goodies for a change.
It's amazing the weight difference between my 3+ and 4 plates.
I have ESAPI all the way around, but it comes at a weight penalty for sure. 3+ or 3 would be nice.

Yeah, my level 4's come in at 8.4lbs and my 3+'s rated to stop M855A1 are 4.6lbs. Light weight 4's are just too cost prohibitive at 550 or so a plate.

Not likely to get shot with 30.06 AP, so I figured it was worth the weight savings.

I'm happy to have multi AP hit capability, but I could die happy in 3+. If its your day its your day... I don't have to wear it all day maybe a few hours max when I do, and I am pretty fit so the weight isn't too big a handicap. But if I was going to wear all day, I would look for a nicer carrier and maybe lighter plates (or ditch the side plates)
