What have you done to your vehicle lately?

The Silverado got some new shoes today.

275/70-18 (just over 33”) Yoko MT...replaced 285/65-18 (just under 33”) Nitto MT

So the new ones are slightly taller and narrower...and about $50/tire cheaper in this size.

The Nittos were great, got 40k out of them and there’s still a little meat left (5/32), so hopefully I can get $50 for them on Craigslist.

She’s been blowing up my phone, I had to block her. Was hitting me up with the “just give me a few hundred dollars and let’s not go through insurance” LOL

My insurance will cut her a check any ways, not sure what her angle is other than she has nowhere to cash a check.

Just got some new shoes on my Silverado.

I’m a big fan of Toyo MTs, but they’re pricey.

Yokohama came out with their Geolandar G003 a few years back, almost an identical tread design as the Toyos. They even have the same sound on the highway.

The new tires are 275/70-18, just over 33”. The Nittos I replaced were 285/65-18, just under 33”.

I got about 43k miles from the Nittos, hoping these Yokos last as long.

Paid $215/tire, plus tire certs/mount/balance/tax. Discount Tire gives steep discounts on tires if you buy the certs. Which seems better than paying retail and not having certs.

Scooped up this Honda CB650R

Threw on some fork sliders. Frame sliders and engine/stator guards inbound.

Haven’t had much a chance to ride it as I picked it up the day before the freeze over.

Frame sliders came in. Slapped them on and took a ride around the block. I think it’s worth the peace of mind.

Took the sportier bike out for a ride around Canyon Lake and down River Rd. I think the Harley got jealous. Fully expect a puddle of oil under it by tomorrow.
